Bob Peck is a storyteller and traveler. On his second album, “Heading Back Again,” his two personas merge in a collection of songs that reflect his love of beautiful places by the sea—Cabo San Lucas, the Florida Keys, and, of course, Cape Cod—and demonstrate his ability to capture their spirit. Whether he’s riding with Pedro in a taxi skiff off Mexico, diving the waters of Islamorada Key, or hiking the Cape Cod National Seashore with his guitar strapped over his shoulder, Bob firmly lives in the moment then recreates the times in songs that take us back there with him. “Heading Back Again” celebrates what it’s like to travel the world’s most beautiful places then head back to the most special place of all—home.
“Heading Back Again,” Bob’s follow-up to his well-received debut album “Wind in My Sails,” also features the talented Outer Beach Bandits (Asa Nadeau, Billy Caren and Bobby Smith). A portion of the proceeds from the sales of “Heading Back Again” support non-profit educational and conservation programs that are dear to Bob’s heart. Also, he and the Outer Beach Bandits have performed benefit concerts for Youth Sailing and the International Fund for Animal Welfare. Bob also recorded a soundtrack for IFAW used during 2008 International Animal Action Week.
In 2010 Bob teamed up with Billy Hardy on fiddle with a single released song called Our Memories Live On ! All proceeds go to American Cancer Society or The Special Olympics !
Bob and ...Billy live in Eastham, Massachusetts, and the beautiful surroundings here inspire music, as does the compassion, tenacity and dedication to public life showed throughout Sen. Kennedy's political career. Bob also loved the fact that Sen. Kennedy clearly cherished the sea.
